The chicken criss-cross pastry is one of my favorite braided and stuffed bread. This bread is ideal for tea parties. Mostly, people like to serve it with spicy garlic sauce, but you can do variations with the sauce. Hers's the easiest recipe for you.
For dough
- 4 cups Flour
- 1 tablespoon Instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons Milk (powdered (optional))
- 1 teaspoon Salt ((or according to taste))
- 4 tablespoons Oil
- 1 Egg ((plus 1 for glazing))
- 1 teaspoon Castor Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking (powder)
For chicken filling
- 2 cups Chicken (boiled (shredded))
- 2 small Onion ((chopped))
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper (powder)
- 2 tablespoons Coriander leaves
- 4 Green chilies ((chopped))
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala (powder)
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Milk
- Sesame seeds ((for garnishing))
