- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Clean the potatoes thoroughly.

- Bake them for about 1 hour, or until fork-tender, directly on the rack in the preheated oven. Reduce the oven temperature to 375 degrees F and place the potatoes on a rack.
