What are Chili peppers? 

Chili peppers (capsicum annuum) are the fruits of capsicum pepper plants, wonderful for their warm flavor. They’re individuals of the nightshade own family, related to bell peppers and tomatoes. Many forms of chili peppers exist, consisting of cayenne and jalapeno. Chili peppers are often used as a spice and can be cooked or dried and powdered. Powdered, pink chili peppers are known as paprika. Capsaicin is the principal bioactive plant compound in chili peppers, chargeable for its precise, stinky taste and lots of their health advantages.

It is originated in Mexico. It usually found in tropical and sub-tropical areas

How to grow it

  • Start your seeds off the interior – they want plenty of heat to germinate.
  • Fill a seed tray or some 10cm pots with wet seed compost and flatten down.
  • Spread a few seeds on top and cover with an exceptional sprinkling of vermiculite or compost.
  •  The region in a propagator at a temperature of 64-77f. In case you do not have a propagator, use polythene to cowl your seed trays and dad them on a sunny windowsill or in a warm airing cabinet.
  • Germination typically takes 7-10 days, and then you can move your seedlings to a warm, sunny windowsill (or heated greenhouse).
  • Hold the compost calmly wet however take care now not to let it get soaking wet.
