Cherimoya

What is Cherimoya?

The inedible peel of this odd fruit is scaly and looks like an artichoke. The custard-like flesh within is creamy and velvety. Remove the dark brown seeds, which are poisonous to humans, before consuming cherimoya. Cherimoya has a flavor that is both robust and sweet. Because of its sweet taste, even Mark Twain praised the fruit, calling it “the most delightful fruit known to man.” Cherimoya is said to taste like a combination of pineapple, strawberry, and banana.

Where they usually found?

It is usually found in tropical and sub-tropical areas throughout the world like Central America, the Mediterranean region, South Asia, Southern California.
